Alla Perlin started her cosmetology career in Russia during the mid 1960's. In 1976 after moving to America and graduating cosmetology school, she started working at Mario Badescu Skin Care located in Manhattan. Her career took off almost immediately. Clients were growing in numbers and word of mouth started to spread about her unique talent and superior customer service. Soon after, Hollywood stars would regularly make appointments to see her (see Bio). Customers often sent transportation for her to perform her one of a kind facials. During Cher's 1990 Heart of Stone tour, Alla regularly flew from city to city to get Cher's face ready to go on stage. She continued an illustrious career which spanned through five decades. She rarely took a day off, in fact, she only took 4 sick days through 29+ years on the job (at Mario Badescu), which is an incredible achievement on its own. She was extremely respected within the skin care industry and would often find her name written up in all sorts of newspapers and magazines. It was commonly known that you needed some patience if you want an appointment with Alla because her schedule was that full. Never the less, it was always worth the wait. After over 40 years in the industry, Alla retired in 2005.
